PREPARATION & ITINERARY

We look forward to meeting you at Discovery Day in Denver, CO! Our goal is to provide a productive and informative day for you, while we’re evaluating you for your potential success and cultural fit within Teriyaki Madness. In preparation for your Discovery Day, please review the following and provide us with your arrival information, hotel reservation and any special needs requested.

DISCOVERY DAY GOALS

This is your opportunity to meet members of the Home Office Team who will be instrumental in helping you to open and build the business of your dreams, as well as their opportunity to meet you (and your partners) and to mutually establish if you would be the right fit for our organization. The day has three main purposes:

• For the Teriyaki Madness Executive Team to make final approval of you and your application.

• For you to receive a deeper understanding of our business model, spend time with the team, and visit a teriyaki shops to make the decision if Teriyaki Madness is a good fit for you.

• To start the foundation for a successful relationship built on understanding the roles, responsibilities, and expectations of all parties.

TRAVEL

Please forward your travel itinerary to: franchise@teriyakimadness.com Discovery Day starts with an optional dinner. We will meet for dinner at 5:30pm – 6p.m. the night before (details to follow). The next day we will meet at the Home Office at at 7:40am to begin a full day of discovery.
*Book air travel home to depart after 6pm to ensure you are able to fully participate in the entire day.

*We suggest you use Uber/Lyft instead of renting a car.

Meet at the Home Office: 950 S Cherry St #850, Denver, CO 80246. We’ll get to know each other more and
discuss the day.

Introduction & Franchisee Call

Meet with Michael Haith, CEO, to discuss your understanding of the Teriyaki Madness mission and brand vision followed by a call with a current franchisee.

Morning Session

Real Estate
Take some time with Hank Janik, Vice President of Real Estate, to understand
the ways in which he helps you find your ideal location.

Launch
Meet Janice Branam, V.P of Franchise Systems, and talk through the construction
process and the support we provide to franchisees during build out.

Training
Sit down with Janice Branam to understand the extensive, hands-on training
you will go through as you learn the ropes of being a TMAD franchisee.

Support
Take some more time with John Fitchett, VP of Franchise Support Services to
discuss the ongoing support you will receive after you’ve opened your doors for
business.

Accounting
Talk with John Miller, CFO, to discuss what you can expect with financial’s once
you open your doors.

Lunch & Shop Visit

You will tour the shop, eat the food and meet the Denver franchisee: Qing Li. Qing is from China and spent time in Bermuda. She was traditionally trained as a financial analyst. She opened her first location in June of 2016 in Denver, CO! She did not have previous restaurant experience. Her work ethic, determination, and business savvy mindset have proven more than enough to run a great business.

Afternoon Session

Supply Chain
Talk with Joe Gordon, VP of Supply Chain, to understand the support provided to help franchisees increase their bottom line.

Marketing Department
Sit with Jodi Boyce, VP of Marketing, and the marketing team to discuss how they will support you from the initial stages through Grand Opening and throughout the year helping you market your shop.
