Chicago may not be known for teriyaki (yet), but a trio of franchisees are looking to change that, and FAST.

Mike and Kathy Hendershott are tenured franchisees, owning more Hand & Stone locations than anyone else with five locations in Chicago. When they teamed up with Bill Christy, a fellow Hand & Stone Owner, the trio made a deal—they’d open five TMAD locations across suburban Chicago.

While TMAD’s three locations in Chicago are some of the most successful in the enterprise, the trio expects to expand upon the fervor and continue bringing the hot new concept across Illinois.

What piqued the interest of these seasoned owners? Easy. The support from leadership.

The trio was happy to see the amount of interaction and communication they received from day one. Add to that a tasty menu with a novel concept for the Midwest, and they knew they were looking at a franchise that wasn’t just a trend—it has staying power.

So next time you’re in Chi-town, swing by and say hello to one of these three.
