Franchisee, Helena Abidin, Opens Teriyaki Shop in Pickerington, Ohio
Loyal teriyaki lovers waited patiently outside of Helena’s Grand Opening on Monday, March 26th. Fans lined up anytime between 9 p.m. the night before, to 11 a.m. when the shop opened, to get their hands on some free bowls. The Grand Opening was one of the largest yet and sales are expected to keeping climbing for Pickerington.

While visiting Las Vegas one day in 2015, Helena, a college senior at the time, stumbled upon Teriyaki Madness. She immediately fell in love with the brand and its Seattle-style Teriyaki. She loved that Teriyaki Madness would allow her to bring delicious, healthier and satisfying food options to her community. At the time, she had been accepted to medical school to follow her family’s footsteps in becoming a doctor, Helena did a complete 180 – she decided to follow her entrepreneurial spirit by opening her very own Teriyaki Madness location.
“I have worked super hard to finally get to this point of opening TMAD in Pickerington. The closer the date got, the more nervous I became. But with the help of my awesome employees and even more awesome trainers, I couldn’t be more excited to serve the Pickerington Community hot, fresh, and healthy food. In a short amount of time, my staff of young strangers became a strong core team and I wouldn’t be this confident without them! Training has been a fun experience that helped me learn not only about others, but of things I’m capable of myself.
