Flavors abound at New Teriyaki Madness in Owings Mills

Flavors abound at New Teriyaki Madness in Owings Mills

I swear, about four to five times a week, my boyfriend and I have the same conversation. It goes something like this:

Him: “What are we doing about dinner?”

Me: “I don’t know, you banned me from the kitchen when I set the tea towels on fire.”

Him: “What do you feel like eating?”

Me: “Food.”

Him: “What kind of food?”

Me: “Tasty food.”

Well, there is an amazing new place to satisfy that tasty food request: Teriyaki Madness. This restaurant opened in Owings Mills in April, and it offers some pretty awesome, tasty food.

The Teriyaki Madness in Owings Mills is the first in Maryland; the next closest to us is the one in Northern Virginia. Teriyaki Madness is a franchise restaurant chain that started in Seattle, Washington, in 2003, and is currently headquartered in Denver, Colorado. The pan-Asian restaurant is occupying 1,500 quare feet, in the Valley Village shopping center.

According to its website, Teriyaki Madness strives to fulfill its guests’ “active lifestyles by providing a fresh alternative, high-quality, and flavorful Teriyaki Madness experience.”

Teriyaki Madness has some pretty incredible dishes. The appetizers offered are chicken eggroll, chicken potstickers, crab Rangoon, edamame, and shrimp tempura. I have to admit, I was skeptical about the edamame, but it was really good and fresh, and prepared so that it had crunch and taste.

Teriyaki Madness offers four amazing salads. They are: chicken teriyaki, spicy chicken teriyaki, chicken breast, and beef teriyaki. All of them are fresh and delicious.

The restaurant serves yakisoba noodles with chicken, beef, tofu or all vegetables. Yakisoba noodles are a typical Japanese street food, made with ramen noodles that have been stir fried and combined with meat and vegetables.

The entrees include chicken teriyaki, spicy chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, orange chicken, tofu teriyaki, and more, all of which come in either a bowl or a plate portion. You start by choosing a base — your options are white rice; brown rice; low-carb, which means all vegetables; yakisoba noodles; or fried rice. Then you choose your protein. Your options are chicken teriyaki, tofu, chicken katsu, orange chicken, spicy chicken teriyaki, chicken breast teriyaki, and beef teriyaki.

You can also get your choice of two proteins as a plate. Entrees come with a side, and you can add on extras — such as 3 ounces of chicken or tofu or 3 ounces of beef — or make it spicy for an additional charge.

The night my boyfriend and I were there I had the chicken breast teriyaki bowl with fried rice and it was full of wonderful flavor. The chicken was tender and tasty, the rice was cooked perfectly, and the service was outstanding. My boyfriend had the spicy chicken plate with stir-fried vegetables. While I could not taste his because of the spices, it looked and smelled delightful, and he said it was very tasty and delicious. Did I mention that the portions are huge? I brought half of mine home; the portions are large and relatively inexpensive.

Why Asian Food Franchises are the Best Bang for your Buck

Why Asian Food Franchises are the Best Bang for your Buck

Teriyaki Madness is on the list of the best food franchises to buy. When looking into franchising, Asian food franchises are the best bang for your buck in 2014. Teriyaki Madness is focused around providing customers with quick, fast, healthy food and to urge them to keep coming back for more. In 2014 the food market is all about variety, making Asian food franchises great opportunities. The new market, the delicious food, and the loyal customer base makes TMAD one of the best food franchises to buy.

The Healthy Food

TMAD is one of the best food franchises to buy because of the health conscious nature in every store. The chicken has no preservatives, or artificial ingredients and is always fresh never frozen. There is a multitude of fresh vegetables, and the sauce is made in house each and every day. Teriyaki Madness proves to be one of the best food franchises to buy because they revolve their concept around the lifestyles of their customers. Asian food franchises are growing in popularity because of the health benefits of their food and their fun, welcoming environment. Whether your customer base are busy moms on the go, or people who just came back from the gym, TMAD caters to everyone’s taste buds, and dietary needs. Asian food franchises are among the only ones that can cater to both.

New and Fresh Market

Asian food franchises are the best food franchises to buy because of the new and fresh market. While other franchise names have been in the market for quite some time, Teriyaki Madness is a new, fresh concept that has been proven through the franchisees. There are already plenty of restaurants that serve French fries and burgers, or pasta and sandwiches. What started as a fascination with Asian cuisine is now turning to a preference and more and more people are leaning to Asian food restaurants. Customers not only gravitate to healthy delicious food, but Asian food in a quick-serve concept is new and exciting to the market. Although Teriyaki Madness is fairly new, the franchisors have already proven the brand has been established through their delicious, fast and healthy food. Customers have shown that they love the TMAD concept.

Growth and Profits

The growth and the profits of each Teriyaki Madness store is another reason why Asian food is among the best food franchises to buy. The concept is a very low investment compared to the profits gained. Teriyaki Madness is moving into its fourth year of double-digit, same-store sales increases including a 14 percent gain in 2013. Teriyaki Madness outweighs other concepts with the cool vibe, welcoming environment, proven profits, and customer satisfaction. These, as well as many more, are reasons why Teriyaki Madness is the one of the best food franchises to buy.

Teriyaki Madness has successfully opened 15 stores in a short amount of time, and is estimated that 100 will be open by the year 2016. Tmad is one of the best food franchises to buy because of its rapid growth. As the Teriyaki Madness name expands, so does each business, allowing for further profits and expansion. Through the new but established brand, franchisees have a higher chance of gaining profits than with any other franchise concept.

You are the decision maker

Another reason why Teriyaki Madness is among the best food franchises to buy, is that much of the decision making is up to you. There is a “no territory” policy meaning franchisees can choose the locations they want, unless impeding on another restaurants territory. Additionally, there are no development schedules, so that franchisees aren’t rushed into building their locations. Franchisees also have the opportunity to choose how many franchise locations they want to commit to. Teriyaki Madness is among the best food franchises to buy because franchisees have control over most of the decisions and processes.

With rice, vegetables and farm fresh chicken, Asian food not only is the tastiest but the healthiest quick-serve concept there is. Asian concepts are the best food franchises to buy because the Asian market is on the rise and the food is high quality. The food caters to every type of customer and their health needs. The growth and sales have been proven, the decision making process is all up to the franchisee, and there is an opportunity to grow with a new exciting brand.

Asian concepts such as Teriyaki Madness are the best food franchises to buy because people are shying away from burgers and fries, and leaning towards healthier, tastier food, such as Asian cuisine. Not many Asian food franchises exist, which means that investing in TMAD gives you the upper hand at building an entire new Asian food market.
